Ahmad sang penyendiri dan kurang baik dalam social skill memberikan kesempatan pada Reza Rahadian untuk memunculkan salah satu performa terbaik sepanjang karirnya. Gerak tubuh dan cara berjalannya quirky, begitu pula cara bicaranya yang penuh keraguan. Ratu Felisha mungkin hanya menjadi Ratu Felisha, tapi tidak ada aktris lain yang lebih cocok dari dia untuk memerankan Kinar. Kinar harus punya sex appeal tinggi supaya penonton percaya akan kemampuannya "menggoda iman" pria seperti Ahmad. Kedua tokoh utama pada akhirnya saling memberikan kebebasan, meski definisi "bebas" berbeda diantara mereka. Jika diperhatikan, baik Ahmad maupun Kinar sama-sama hanya mendapat kebahagiaan yang nyata dari satu sama lain, membuat saya terikat oleh jalinan hubungan mereka. Satu-satunya kekurangan yang menghalangi saya untuk lebih menyukai film ini adalah cara yang ditempuh Teddy Soeriaatmadja demi mencapai konklusi. Terlalu dipaksakan untuk sampai kesana hanya gara-gara satu kejadian yang menimpa Ahmad. Tapi konklusi yang dipilih memang sempurna, menguatkan kesan betapa pahit sesungguhnya hidup meski kebahagiaan yang rasanya manis tetap akan berulang kali datang berkunjung. Saat iringan musik berupa petikan gitar sederhana mulai mengalun menjelang ending, perasaan getir bercampur sesak serta merta mencekik saya.
